We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God, infallible and full of authority in all aspects related to faith and practice. We believe that it was fully, verbally, and uniquely inspired by the Holy Spirit and is without error in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in the fields it addresses. We accept the great areas of doctrinal teaching on which there is general, historical agreement among all true Christians. We want to leave the freedom of conviction on other doctrinal aspects, as long as their interpretation is based on the accepted exegetical method and does not become an obstacle in the work to which God has called us. We explicitly support our belief in the basic teachings:

  1. There is only one God. He exists from eternity in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—equally possessing all the attributes of divinity and the characteristics of a person.
  2. Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became flesh through the miraculous conception achieved by the Holy Spirit and through the virgin birth. He is, therefore, perfect divinity and true humanity eternally united in one person.
  3. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and willingly atoned for people's sins by dying on the cross in their place, thus satisfying divine justice, expressing God's love and obtaining salvation for all who trust in Him and Him alone.
  4. Jesus Christ rose from the dead bodily, having the same body, albeit glorified, in which he lived and died.
  5. Jesus Christ ascended bodily to heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, where, as the only mediator between God and people, he ceaselessly intercedes for his people.
  6. Man was originally created in the image of God, but he sinned by disobeying God and thus alienated himself from his Creator. This historic fall drew divine condemnation upon all mankind.
  7. Mankind's nature has been corrupted by the fall and people are totally incapable of pleasing God. Every person needs the regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.
  8. Every man's salvation is the work of God's free grace. It is not the result, in whole or in part, of human efforts, of human kindness, or of religious ceremonies. God grants His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for salvation, thus justifying them before Him.
  9. The Holy Spirit came into the world to discover and glorify Christ and to give people the salvation obtained by Christ. He convinces and draws sinners to Christ, gives them a new life, dwells in them continuously from the moment of their spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption. His fullness, power and dominion are obtained by faith.
  10. All believers are called to live by the power of the Spirit who lives in them so that they do not fulfill the lust of the earthly nature, but bring fruit for the glory of God.
  11. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church - His Body - which is made up of all people, living and dead, who have united with Him through saving faith.
  12. God urges His people to gather regularly for worship, baptism and the Lord's Supper, with a view to edification through Scripture and mutual encouragement.
  13. There will be a resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved will rise to life, the lost will rise to damnation.
  14. Jesus Christ will return to earth—in person, visibly, and in the flesh—to fulfill God's eternal history and plan.
